Hangzhou NoctiStar Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on technological research in embodied interaction and embodied navigation. Its core product is a proactive mobile companion robot. Founded in July 2024, the company’s core team consists of professionals from leading universities and companies, including Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Alibaba, and Hikvision.
The founder, Zhao Wang, is Director of the Visual Intelligence Laboratory at the Advanced Institute of Information Technology, Peking University. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Peking University and previously worked at Alibaba DAMO Academy. He was selected for the 2019 AliStar Top Talent Program and the 2021 DAMO Academy Frontier Researcher Program, and formerly served as Vice Chair of the Intelligent Coding Ad Hoc Group under the Joint Video Experts Team (JVET), an international video coding standards organization.
Dr. Wang has extensive research experience in video and visual technologies. He has published more than 40 papers in international journals and conferences, holds over 20 granted invention patents, and has submitted more than 30 technical proposals to international standards organizations. His honors include the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Peking University and two Best Paper Awards at international conferences.
